Appreciation for Teachers

Teachers transform lives by nurturing students’ minds and hearts, fostering compassion, and instilling a lifelong love for learning.
My middle school Social Science teacher profoundly influenced my perspective and recognized my potential even before I could. He fueled my passion for growth and learning and empowered me to believe in my ability to achieve great things. His intellectual challenges, high expectations, and genuine concern for my success as both a learner and a person made a lasting impact.
As the first in my family to graduate from college and earn a PhD, his support was pivotal. I needed someone beyond my loving parents to believe in me so that I could believe in myself.
Even when educators may not fully grasp their impact, teachers have the power to shape children’s lives significantly. They deserve our utmost love and appreciation.
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all educators who tirelessly support children and young people around the world. Your dedication, patience, and compassion are remarkable, especially in the face of challenging working conditions and often insufficient recognition. I see you and deeply value your efforts.
To show my appreciation, I’m offering free copies of Teaching with the HEART in Mind as a gift:
