Free Books on SEL Day

Join the global celebration this Monday, March 3, as educators and parents worldwide commemorate the sixth annual International Social Emotional Learning Day under the theme “Skills for Success, Ready for the Future.” SEL Day is a grassroots movement advocating for SEL to bolster children’s academic recovery, mental well-being, and overall growth. Since its inception in 2020, #SELday has garnered over 40 million views, illustrating its profound impact.

To mark SEL Day, I am thrilled to join Dr. Chris Cipriano and other experts in education and psychology in a Science Summit at Yale University to build community, engage in dialogue, and catalyze the future of SEL science and practice. I’ll report back what I learn!

And to continue the celebration, I am excited to announce a special book giveaway, so you can celebrate SEL with me! You have a chance to win a copy of Teaching with the HEART in Mind on SEL Day. All you need to do is answer these three questions and you could be one of the lucky winners! I’ll be selecting winners by March 5, so don’t miss out—join the giveaway today.

As we honor SEL Day, let’s unite in action by embodying, teaching, and championing SEL in all possible ways. Whether by claiming your free copy of my book, engaging in the SEL Day summit, exploring these toolkits for inspiration and additional resources, or simply spreading awareness about the vital importance of nurturing emotional intelligence in both students and adults.

May each of us play a part in fostering a world where SEL flourishes, laying the foundation for a brighter future.

Happy SEL Day!
